FUEL LINE TO Metering Pump -V54-, BLEEDING

After working on the fuel delivery unit, the fuel supply line to the Metering Pump -V54- must be bled on equipment levels with a parking/auxiliary heater.

Procedure

Parking heater switched off.

-- Connect the Suction Pump: VAS5226 to the compressed air.

-- On the metering pump -1- remove the fuel supply line -2- from the fuel tank.

-- Connect the Suction Pump: VAS5226 with the adapter from the Hand Vacuum Pump: VAS6213 to the fuel supply line and bleed it by extracting briefly.

-- Re-install the fuel supply line to the metering pump.

-- Switch on the parking heater and let it run approximately 10 minutes at full load.
