Side Sill Trim Panel Mount, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• The vehicle and the mount must be at room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.

Preparation for reinstalling the mount:

-- Completely remove any adhesive residue from the mount.

-- Clean the plastic side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution.

-- Apply Plastic Primer on the adhesive surfaces of the mount and let it dry.

-- Apply double-sided tape to the same location on the mount. Refer to Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).

Continuation: 

-- Clean the painted side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution.

-- Attach the centering sleeves -1- to the outer and center pins.

-- Position the mount -2- with the centering sleeves.

-- Remove the protective film from the adhesive tapes -3, 4 and 5- and apply on the side sill trim panel with the Roller: T40400  and tighten the nuts from the back to the front.

• Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
• It is durable after at least 24 hours.
