Left Seal, Replacing

Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143

Procedure

Fig 3: Identifying Pulling Hook T20143/1 Or T20143/2 To Pry Out Sealing Ring On Bevel Box

-- Remove the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX, REMOVING .

-- Pry out the seal on the bevel box using the Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/1 or Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143/2 .

-- Coat the outer edge and sealing lips on the new seal with transmission fluid.

-- Fill the space between the sealing/dust lip halfway with sealing grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Drive the new seal all the way in using the Seal Installer - Bevel Box: T10298 . Do not tilt it while doing so.
