Upper Steering Column Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the steering wheel as far to the rear and down as possible. Use the full steering column adjustment range for this.
-- Unclip the gap cover -1- at the side and top by hand from the instrument panel -arrows-.
-- Turn the steering wheel counter-clockwise 90° from the straight position.
-- Unclip the upper steering column trim panel -1- from the lower steering column trim panel -arrow-.
-- Push the upper hook toward the front through the opening using the Locking Pin (3 pc.):T40011 and remove the locking pin again immediately.
-- Turn the steering wheel back 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side.
-- Bring the steering wheel back into the center (wheels are straight).
-- Disengage the upper steering column trim panel -1- from the lower steering column trim panel and remove.
