Glove Compartment, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Make sure the wires are not pinched.

North American market-specific

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

Risk of injury.

- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.

-- Connect the connector -1- to the airbag igniter -arrow A-.

-- Press in the connector lock -2- -arrow B-. While doing this, the connector is pushed into the airbag igniter all the way and locks into place.

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unexpectedly.

A risk of injury is possible.

- Keep as far away as possible from the pyrotechnic component when switching the ignition on.

-- If the battery was disconnected, perform the required steps after connecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY A, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITHOUT ALTERNATIVE DRIVE SYSTEM, (0K0) .
