Headliner, Removing And Installing, A6 AVANT: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Conditions

A second technician is required to install the headliner.

-- Insert the headliner in reverse order in the vehicle.

-- Align the headliner and slide it in the lower right rear of the D-pillar trim panel.

-- Press the rear centering pin on the headliner into the body until they audibly engage.

-- Install the sun visor center support. Refer to Sun Visor Center Support, Removing and Installing .

-- Stretch the inner door seal lip over.

Vehicles with sliding sunroof

-- Clip the sides of the headliner into the sunroof frame first, and then into the front and rear.
