-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panels. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITHOUT HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM , or LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Unclip the rear panel sill frame -2- upward -arrows- and remove it. (Example illustration above for A6)

-- Remove the luggage compartment floor.

-- Remove the rail and mounts. Refer to RAIL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITHOUT HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM , or LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .

-- Remove the nut -arrow-.
