-- Lift the luggage compartment floor and fold it forward.

-- Remove the luggage compartment floor. Refer to Luggage Compartment Floor, Removing and Installing .

-- Free up the lock carrier trim panel near the rear lid seal -1-.
-- Grip the trim panel -2- by hand and pull vertically upward using a jerking motion -arrows-.
