Center Console, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Move the front seats as far back as possible.

-- Remove the center console insert. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE INSERT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the cover from the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front storage compartment in the center console. Refer to Refer to Refer to CENTER CONSOLE FRONT STORAGE COMPARTMENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the switch mount from the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the wire and free it up.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

RHD vehicle:

-- Remove the footrest. Refer to the appropriate service information.

-- Pry off the cap -1- with a small flat-head screwdriver.

-- Remove the bolt behind it.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Move the front seats to the middle position and move the backrest into the upright position.

-- Remove the center console rear trim. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE REAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center armrest bolts -arrows-. (Vehicles with a center armrest illustrated.)

-- Unclip the wire and free it up.

-- Pull the center console with the rear center armrest toward the rear and remove.
