Front Interior Lamp/Reading Lamp, Removing And Installing: Removing

Tip

The marking shows the position of the springs -arrows-.

Tip

The spring -1- are removed from the body by prying them out.

-- Remove the interior rearview mirror. Refer to INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the sun visor center support. Refer to SUN VISOR CENTER SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Insert a plastic paint scraper -5- on both the left and right sides between the interior lamp/reading lamp -3- and the headliner -1- near the side spring and position it behind the spring -4- by turning.

Conditions

The spring must be pushed in direction of the interior lamp/reading lamp.

-- From the front, guide the scraper -2- from the Scraper Set :VAS 6845 in between the headliner and body near the springs.

-- Push out the interior lamp/reading lamp using the scraper and force from the roof opening -arrow-.

Tip

This will pull the front spring out of the body.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness.
