Latch Release Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the vehicle electrical system control module bracket. Refer to OVERVIEW - RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOXES .

-- Loosen the release cable -3- from the mounting bracket support bracket -2- and disengage the release cable nipple -1-.

-- Remove the headlamp cover -1- upward in direction of -arrows-.

RS6 / RS7:

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (EA 888EVO4) , or AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING (EA 839) .

-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrows- and remove the housing cover -1-.

-- Loosen the release cable -4- from the support bracket -3- and disengage the release cable nipple -2-.

-- Free up the release cable on the lock carrier.

-- Remove the grommet and remove the release cable at a wire or cord outward.
