Latch, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A6, A7 SPORTBACK .
-- A6, A7 Sportback right side: remove the bolts -arrows-, remove the air duct -1-, and unclip the air duct -2-.
-- RS6, RS7: remove the air filter housing. Refer to to the appropriate service information .
-- Remove the headlamp cover -1- upward in direction of -arrows-.
-- Free up the connector -2- and disconnect.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the latch -1-.
-- Release the catches -4- and remove the support bracket from the mount -3- in direction of -arrow-.
-- Pull the release cable nipples -1 and 2- out of the release levers on the latch.
-- Remove the latch.
