Seat Bolster Cushion / Seat Pan Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Comfort Seat: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS 6136  . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the front seat frame trim panel. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FRONT COMFORT SEAT .

-- Remove the tunnel-side seat frame trim panel. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TUNNEL-SIDE .

-- Remove the seat frame trim panel on the side sill side. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIDE SILL SIDE, COMFORT SEAT .

-- If installed, remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the child seat anchor -1- from the front seat.

-- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors for the backrest and free up the disconnected wiring harnesses. Refer to MODULAR WIRING ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- North America versions with passenger occupant detection system: note the information. Refer to SEAT OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat frame trim panel/control module/compressor bracket. Refer to.Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL/CONTROL MODULE/COMPRESSOR BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

-- Detach the hooks -arrows-.

-- Disengage the cover molding -1- using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370  .

-- Detach the molding -arrow A- on the seat pan at the tunnel side using the Backrest Panel Tool :3370  .

-- Disengage the left and right rubber tab -arrow B- for the cover at the rear of the seat pan and free it up.

-- Detach the molding -arrow A- on the seat pan at the side sill side using the Backrest Panel Tool :3370  .

-- If equipped, disengage the rubber tab -arrow B- for the cover at the rear of the seat pan and free it up.

Seat Bolster Cushion, Removing:

-- Equipped on some models: disconnect the connector and free up the wire for the heating element.

-- Remove the cover from the seat bolster cushion, pull it upward, and lay it aside.

-- Loosen the seat bolster cushion -1 and 2- from the seat pan and remove.

Cover and Cushion, Removing:

-- Equipped on some models: remove the seat cushion fan. Refer to FRONT SEAT FAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SEAT CUSHION .

-- Disconnect the electrical connectors and free them up. Refer to MODULAR WIRING ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the left and right trim -1- for the seat depth adjuster toward the front -arrow-.

-- Detach the side of the molding -arrows- on the bottom of the upholstery wire -1- from the seat pan by hand or using the T-Handle Hook:3438  .

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Disengage the molding -arrow- for the cover on the seat depth adjuster.

-- Disengage the left and right rubber bands -1- on the seat depth adjuster -arrows A and B- and secure them from sliding back using a cable tie, for example.

-- Fold back the seat cushion cover -1- and press it to the side.

-- Release the hooks -2- on the retaining plate one at a time using the T-Handle Hook:3438  and detach the contour wire -3- for the cover.

-- Remove the cover and cushion from the seat pan. Depending on the equipment version, guide the seat heating wiring harness out.
