Backrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing, Comfort Seats: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS 6136  . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the backrest cover. Refer to BACKREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, COMFORT SEAT .

-- Remove the headrest. Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If installed, remove the seat backrest fan. Refer to FRONT SEAT FAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SEAT BACKREST .

-- If installed, remove the massage function valve block and free up the pneumatic lines for the massage mat. Refer to MASSAGE FUNCTION VALVE BLOCK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors for the backrest and free up the disconnected wiring harnesses. Refer to MODULAR WIRING ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disengage the rubber tabs -2- for the cover on the backrest frame.

-- Detach the molding -1- at the backrest frame by hand or using the T-Handle Hook:3438  .

-- Remove the front thorax airbag. Refer to FRONT THORAX AIRBAG WITH IGNITER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the clips -arrows- on the backrest frame with the Pry Lever:80-200  .

-- Disengage the lower center molding -1- on the backrest frame.

-- Detach the inner cover molding -3- at the upholstery wire -2- by hand or using the T-Handle Hook:3438  .

-- Free up the backrest heating wiring harness.

-- If installed, remove the massage mat pneumatic line -4- forward.

-- If installed, remove the fan rubber boot -1- from the module carrier.

-- Loosen the cover and cushion from the backrest frame and remove them upward.
