Lock Cylinder, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the locking mechanism trim and the lock cylinder. Refer to LOCKING MECHANISM TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Make sure the indicator is in the >>top<< position.
CAUTION:
Improper handling increases the risk of destroying the lock cylinder.
The retainers and pressure springs could fall out.
- Remove and install the lock cylinder only with the key inserted correctly.
-- Release the tabs -1- using a flat-head screwdriver and press the lock cylinder -3- with key -2- out of the trim -4-.
