Starter, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Check the sealing piece -arrow- for the correct installation position.

Tip

If the starter assembly is difficult to move, use a silicone-free lubricating spray.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the starter through improper handling.

- Tighten the bolt only with the spacer sleeve installed between the starter and the transmission.

-- Connect the battery. Refer to BATTERY A, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITHOUT ALTERNATIVE DRIVE SYSTEM, (0K0) , or BATTERY A, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITH HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM, (0K3) , or BATTERY A, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITH ALTERNATIVE DRIVE SYSTEM, (0K4)BATTERY A, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, VEHICLES WITH ALTERNATIVE DRIVE SYSTEM, (0K4) .
