Upper Air Duct Pipe, Removing And Installing, 2.9L Engine: Removing

-- Pay attention to the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to appropriate Repair Information .

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the charge air cooling circuit cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLING CIRCUIT COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrows- and remove the upper air duct -1-.

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.

-- Push the radiator forward.

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness.

1. For the Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 2 -G764-
2. For the Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor 1 -G763-

-- Remove the oil filter element and cover the opening with a clean cloth.

• A6. Refer to Maintenance Work; Engine Oil; Oil Filter, Replacing.
• A7. Refer to Maintenance Work; Engine Oil; Oil Filter, Replacing.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -2- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Move the air duct pipe -1- to the side.

-- Lift the clamp -2- and disconnect the coolant ventilation line.

-- Detach the Engine Control Module -J623- with the bracket and push it slightly to the side. Refer to Engine Control Module -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Loosen the clamps -1 and 3- and remove the air duct hose.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -3- and disconnect the coolant hose.

-- Lift the clamp -1- and remove the left upper coolant hose from the radiator and push to the side.

-- Press the release buttons on both sides and remove the EVAP system hose -arrow-.

-- Free up the wiring harness.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the Long Reach Special Wrench: T40398  if necessary.

-- Remove the crankcase ventilation hose -1- by pressing the release buttons on both sides.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness -2-.

For the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-

For the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-

-- Remove the vacuum hose -6- and hose -3- for the crankcase ventilation to do so press the release buttons on both sides.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-, use the Long Reach Special Wrench: T40398  if necessary.

-- Carefully pivot the air duct pipe -1- to the left side.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -3- and remove the clamp -1-, also remove and free up the coolant hose on the upper left radiator.

-- To remove the air duct pipe completely, remove the throttle valve control module. Refer to Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Pivot the air duct pipe carefully to the left side and remove.
