Power Steering System, Checking For Leaks

WARNING:

If power steering fluid level is low, always check the steering system for leaks.

-- Turn steering wheel to left and right full lock and hold briefly to build up greatest possible steering pressure.

-- Inspect for leaks in the following locations:

Rotary slide valve housing
Toothed rod seal or seal in left end housing (loosen hose clamp on boot and push boot to middle to check)
Hose and line connections
