Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface J533, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- When installing, the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- must always be installed with the protective cover -1-, even if no protective cover has been installed before. Refer to Parts Information.

Tip

The rubber spacers -2- are adhered to the protective cover.

-- Slide the protective cover -1- with the rubber spacers -2- onto the threaded pins.

-- Connect the connectors -3-, -4- and -5-.

-- Insert the Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface -J533- into the protective cover -2-, position it on the threaded pins and tighten on the inside of the protective cover using the nuts -arrow-.

-- Align the protective cover opening on a large scale and fold back the insulation mat.

If the Data Bus on Board Diagnostic Interface - J533- is replaced, complete the test plan for replacing the control modules:

-- Complete the "control module, replacing" function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
