Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing, RS6, RS7 SPORTBACK: Removing

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Push in the front wheels and loosen the front wheel spoiler and wheel housing liner near the front bumper cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

Right Side of Vehicle:

-- If equipped, place a drip tray under the hose coupling for the washer fluid hose.

-- Slide the clip -2- out and disconnect the washer fluid hose for the laser distance regulation control module -1-.

-- Seal the hose couplings with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122 .

-- If equipped, disconnect the connector -arrow-.

Continuation:

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RS6, RS7 SPORTBACK .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Slide out the clamp -2- and disconnect the washer fluid hose -1- for the night vision system camera.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1, 2 and 4- and free up the wiring harness.

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

Risk of injury.

- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- by removing the connector lock and pressing it down.

-- Disengage the side bolster -2- from the front side panel in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -3 and 4-.

-- With a second technician, remove the bumper cover -1- in direction of -B arrows- and place it on a soft surface.
