Lane Change Assistance, Calibrating, Dynamic Calibration

Calibration/adjustment must be performed if:

The test plan in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester requires a readjustment.
A software update was performed.
The Lane Change Assistance Control Module -J769- and/or Lane Change Assistance Control Module 2 -J770- has/have been removed and installed or replaced.
The rear bumper cover was removed and installed or replaced.
The rear bumper cover was painted near the control modules while installed.

Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

Procedure

-- Turn on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.

-- Select the Test plan tab.

Dynamic calibration of a driver assistance system

-- Select the following items in the tree structure one after the other.

Diagnostic-capable systems
003C - Lane Change Assistance - Rear Radar Entry Gen3
003C - Blind Spot Detection Control Module, functions
003C - Calibration

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the display of the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester by running a short calibration run.

Dynamic calibration of several driver assistance systems.

The adaptive cruise control and the lane change assistance can also be calibrated together during the calibration run, to do so, select the following tree structure.
