Thermal Management Coolant Temperature Sensor 5 -G906-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A6/A7

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- In order to reduce the remaining pressure in the cooling system, cut the seal strap -1- and open the high-voltage system cooling circuit coolant expansion tank cap -5-.

-- Remove the left center underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

CAUTION:

Collecting coolant and determining volumes.

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS 6208  underneath.

-- Remove the bolt -1-, and remove the Thermal Management Coolant Temperature Sensor 5 -G906- -item 3-.

-- To prevent coolant loss, install the new coolant temperature sensor immediately.

-- Add the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, ADDING AND COOLING SYSTEM, BLEEDING, HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM COOLING CIRCUIT .

-- Drain and fill the coolant for the high-voltage system cooling circuit only if the coolant loss is greater than 500 ml. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING, HIGH-VOLTAGE COOLING CIRCUIT  and Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, FILLING, HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM COOLING CIRCUIT .
