Refrigerant Circuit Pipes And Hoses

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Audi S6 and 2024 Audi A6 Quattro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

In the right state refrigerant R1234yf is chemically stable and does not damage iron, aluminum and corresponding developed and suitable plastic. Mixing refrigerant oil and refrigerant R1234yf can damage specific metals (for example alloys with copper) and can damage and dissolve specific hose materials and plastics. For this reason use only original parts. Refer to the Parts Information.
Make exclusive use of components which are resistant to refrigerant R1234yf and the related refrigerant oils. Do not use any components (such as seals and hoses that are made of plastic) which were not clearly assigned. Refer to the Parts Information.
The pipes and hoses are held together by threaded connections and/or special connections. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit (vehicle-specific Service Information).
Replace the sealing elements (seals, for example) between the components. Refer to Parts Information.
Note the tightening specification on threaded connections, for connectors use the corresponding release tools. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit (vehicle-specific Service Informations).
