Outer Rear Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Pay attention to the safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Switch off the ignition and place the ignition key outside of the vehicle and wait 10 seconds before working on the airbag system.

-- Remove the C-pillar lower trim. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Sedan: Remove the rear shelf. Refer to REAR SHELF, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Sportback: Remove the right side seat belt: Cellular Telephone Amplifier -R86-. Refer to Cellular Telephone Amplifier -R86-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Remove the belt end fitting -2-.

-- If installed: remove the noise insulation.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Push the three-point seat belt -3- slightly rearward in the direction of -arrow- and disengage the anti-twist mechanism -2- from the mount.

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

CAUTION:

Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.

Risk of injury.

- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.

-- Release the connector lock -2- for the connector -1- with a small flat-head screwdriver in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector and remove the three-point seat belt.
