Seat Frame Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, Outer Backrest Hinge: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward.
-- Remove the seat cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SEAT CUSHION .
-- Move the rear seat all the way forward.
-- Remove the expanding clip -A arrow- using the Pliers: T40172C .
-- Remove the expanding clip -arrow B- using the Angled Screwdriver: VAS6416 .
TIP:
A damaged pin for the expanding clip can be pushed through using a small TX6 TORX® screwdriver.
-- Fold the rear seat backrest slightly forward.
-- Disengage the seat frame trim panel -2- on the backrest hinge in direction of -arrow C- and at the same time, guide the pull loop -1- for the folding backrest through the gap.
