Seat Frame Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, Inner Backrest Hinge: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward.

-- Remove the driver side seat cushion. Refer to COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SEAT CUSHION .

-- Position the rear seat on the driver side all the way toward the rear.

-- Position the rear seat on the front passenger side all the way forward and fold the backrest forward.

-- Remove the expanding clip -A arrow- using the Pliers: T40172C .

-- Remove the expanding clip -arrow B- using the Angled Screwdriver: VAS6416 .

TIP:

A damaged pin for the expanding clip can be pushed through using a small TX6 TORX^® screwdriver.

-- Fold the rear seat backrest slightly forward.

-- Single seat on driver side: push the center seat belt latch -2- outward to the side.

-- Detach the seat frame trim panel -1- at the backrest hinge in direction of -arrow C- and remove.
