Wire Mat, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture: VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Remove the seat pan cover and cushion. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Front passenger seat: unclip the mount -1- from the seat pan -arrows- and move the passenger occupant detection sensor -3- to the side with the connector still connected.

-- If equipped, unclip the footwell lamp bracket from the seat pan.

-- Unclip the bracket for the wires from the seat pan and free it up.

-- Release the retainers -1- and unclip the wire mat -2- from the seat pan frame.

-- Pivot the wire mat upward, disengage it from the seat pan -arrows- and remove it.
