Active Steering Safety Lock (Locking Solenoid), Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Place the adjusting element according to the mark applied during removal and tighten (use the socket included in the repair kit). Refer to Figure.
-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Select and start the Diagnostic operating mode.
-- Select the Test plan tab.
-- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively:
- Chassis
- Steering
- 01 - OBD-capable systems
- 1B - Active Steering - J792
- 1B - Active Steering, functions
- 1B - Basic setting (repair group 48)
- 1B - Basic setting, reset adaptation values
- 1B - Basic setting complete
-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
