Refrigerant Lines, Disconnecting And Connecting From Condenser, Q5 From Product Improvement: Removing

Vehicles with a High-Voltage System

-- Initiate the basic setting of the A/C system using the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- and open the electric valves using the routine "Refrigerant Circuit, Extract, Evacuate and Fill" in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit or Working with A/C Service Station (1 Of 2) and Working with A/C Service Station (2 Of 2) .

Vehicles with a TDI engine

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with TFSI Engine

-- Remove the left air intake grille. Refer to OVERVIEW - BUMPER COVER .

CAUTION:

Danger or frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.

Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.

- Wear safety gloves.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Evacuate or drain refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.

- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting or draining the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit has not been opened, extract or drain the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.

-- Remove the bolt -B-.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines -A and C- from the connections on the condenser.

-- Seal the open line connections and the connections on the condenser with clean plugs, for example, from the Engine Bung Set :VAS6122  .
