Brake Caliper, Removing And Installing, Four-Piston Brake: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

CAUTION:

Health risk due to toxic dust from the brake system.

Irreversible deposit of dust particles in the lungs. Breathing impairments may occur.

- Never blow out the brake system with compressed air.

-- Clean the brake caliper.

-- Carefully slide the brake caliper -1- with the installed brake pads over the brake rotor while paying attention to the brake hose.

-- Tighten the bolts -arrows-.

-- Tighten the bolts -4-.

-- Bring the brake pad wear sensor into its installation position on the bracket and turn it in the -direction of the arrow- until the tab -2- engages in the hole -3- on the bracket.

-- Secure the wire at the protective cap.

-- Connect the connector -1- and engage the wiring harness at the bracket.

CAUTION:

Faulty brakes increase the risk of an accident.

- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.

-- With the vehicle stationary, firmly press the brake pedal several times so that the brake pads in the operating condition properly sit in their respective position.
