Requirements for Calibrating

• The camera lens must be clean.
• The vehicle must be standing on a firm and level surface.
• There must be sufficient open space around the vehicle.
• The parking brake must be set.
• The steering wheel must be in the 0 position and the wheels must be straight.
• All doors, the rear lid must be closed.
• There are no people in the vehicle.
• The vehicle is not loaded (curb weight).
• Before each calibration: turn on the ignition.

The Calibration Unit:VAS6350A  consists of the following parts:

• Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mountings:VAS6350/1 
• Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser:VAS6350/2 
• Calibration Tool - Linear Laser:VAS6350/3A

1. Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mountings:VAS6350/1 
   • With wheel bolt adapter and measuring paddle
2. Right/Left Catch Bracket
   • To mount the Spacing Laser:VAS6350/2A  for the distance measurement
3. Plastic Foot
   • Quantity: 3
   • Adjustable for adjusting the horizontal position of the Calibration Tool:VAS6350A 
4. Calibration Tool - Linear Laser:VAS6350/3A 
   • With "laser protective eyewear"
   • On the Calibration Tool:VAS6350A 
   • Refer to Calibration Tool - Line Laser:VAS6350/3A  Owner's Manual for handling.
5. Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser:VAS6350/2A 
   • For distance measurement
   • Refer to the Calibration Tool - Spacing Laser:VAS6350/2A  Operating Instructions for handling.
6. Calibration Tool:VAS6350A 
   • Between the catch bracket on the calibration board and the Calibration Tool - Wheel Center Mounting:VAS6350/1A  - dimension -a- : 1.47 m to 1.90 m
7. Level
   • On the Calibration Tool:VAS6350A 
   • For checking the horizontal position

Calibration board orientation

-- Position the calibration platform behind the vehicle at a distance of 1.47 m to 1.90 m to the rear wheels, see -dimension A- in the overview illustration. Refer to Calibration Unit: VAS6350A, INSTALLING AND ALIGNING .

-- Bring the Calibration Tool:VAS6350A  into a horizontal position.

-- Twist the plastic feet under the calibration board so that the air bubble in the level is located exactly in the center of the indicator -arrow-.

-- Wear "laser protective eyewear".

-- Turn on the Calibration Tool - Linear Laser:VAS6350/3A  -1- on the Calibration Tool:VAS6350A  .

-- Align the :VAS6350A  so that the :VAS6350/3A  -1- strikes the center of the emblem -2- on the rear lid.

-- Check that the Audi rings are centered on the rear. Correct the laser beam accordingly.
