Overview - Oil Pan/Oil Pump

- Oil Pan Lower Section
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OIL PAN LOWER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Install with sealant. Refer to the Parts Information for the correct sealant.

- Replace after removing
- Oil Pan Upper Section
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Install with sealant. Refer to the Parts Information.

- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 4.
- Oil Pump
- Do not disassemble
- Removing and Installing. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Perform the adaptation after removing or replacing using the => Vehicle Diagnostic Tester 0001 - Engine electronics, functions , 0001 - Chain length diagnostic adaptation
- O-Ring
- Replace after removing
- Cylinder Block
- Bolt
- Replace after removing
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 3.

- Check Valve

- Replace after removing
- Fluid Drain Plug
- 25 Nm

- Removing and Installing. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seal
- Replace after removing
Oil Pan Lower Section - Tightening Specification and Sequence
- Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in steps as follows:
| Step | Tightening Specification/Additional Turn |
|---|---|
| 1. | Install all the way by hand |
| 2. | 3 Nm clockwise, starting with the bolt -arrow- |
| 3. | 45° clockwise additional turn, starting with the bolt -arrow- |
Oil Pan Upper Section - Tightening Specifications and Sequence
- Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
-- Tighten the bolts in the steps in the sequence shown:

Oil Pump - Tightening Specification and Sequence

Oil Dipstick Tube - Tightening Specification
-- Tighten the bolt -arrow- to 8 Nm.
