1. Cylinder Head Gasket
   • Replacing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Note the installation position: the part number faces the cylinder head
   • Install with sealant. Refer to the Parts Information.
   • Perform the adaptation after replacing using the 0001 - Engine electronics, functions  , 0001 - Chain length diagnostic adaptation 
2. Plug
   • 15 Nm
3. Seal
   • Replace after removing
4. Alignment Pin
5. Cylinder Head
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Threaded pin - tightening specification and insulation depth. Refer to Fig 5.
   • Must rest on the alignment sleeves
   • Checking for distortion. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Cylinder Head Reworking Dimension. Refer to Fig 4
   • Only replace the cylinder head and camshaft housing together
   • Change the coolant and engine oil after replacing
   • Perform the adaptation after removing or replacing using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester 0001 - Engine electronics, functions  , 0001 - Chain length diagnostic adaptation

   • 20 Nm
7. Engine Lifting Eye
8. Alignment Pin
9. Bolt
   • Replace after removing
   • Loosening in the opposite sequence. Refer to Removing => .
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
10. Bolt
    • Replace after removing
    • Loosening in the opposite sequence. Refer to Removing => .
    • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
11. Partition Plate
12. Engine Lifting Eye
13. Bolt
    • 20 Nm

• Replace bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps in the sequence shown:

-- Check the cylinder head at several locations for distortion using a Straight Edge - 500mm:VAS 6075  and a feeler gauge.

• Maximum permissible distortion: 0.04 mm.

Resurfacing cylinder head (face grinding) is only permissible to minimum dimension -a-.

• Minimum dimension -a- = 139.30 mm.

Threaded pin - tightening specification and insulation depth

-- Tighten the threaded pins -1 and 2- to 23 Nm.

• Dimension -a- = 35 ± 1.5 mm.
• Dimension -b- = 40.8 ± 1.5 mm.
