Overview - Camshaft Timing Chains

Camshaft Timing Chain
- Mark the running direction with paint before removing.
- Removing from the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .
Drive Chain Sprocket
- For the timing chains
- There are different versions. Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
- Version 1 OVERVIEW - TIMING MECHANISM DRIVE CHAIN, VERSION 1 => List Item:Drive Chain Sprocket may not be removed
- Must not be disassembled

Bolt
- Replace after removing
- 60 Nm +90°
Camshaft Adjuster, Intake Side
- Designation "IN"
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .
Gliding Piece
- Replace after removing
Camshaft Adjuster, Exhaust Side
- Designation "EX"
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING FROM CAMSHAFTS .
Chain Tensioner
Bolt
- 9 Nm
Mounting Pin
- 40 Nm
