Transmission Fluid, Filling

-- Install the overflow pipe all the way.

The overflow pipe must be easy to install.

CAUTION:

Transmission damage due to incorrect filling.

- Do not fill the transmission fluid over the bleeder.

-- Shake the container before opening.

-- Install the container with the transmission fluid for the DSG transmission on the Oil Filler:VAS 6262 A .

If necessary, use the Oil Filler - Adapter 6:VAS 6262/6

-- Install the Adapter For Oil Filling:VAS 6262 A into the opening for the check plug hand-tight.

-- Hold the container with the Oil Filler:VAS 6262A as high as possible over the DSG transmission and allow six liters of transmission fluid to flow into the DSG transmission.

-- Start the engine and let it run in idle.

-- Press the foot brake and shift through all driving positions "P, R, N, D/S" at idle speed; while doing so, stay in each position for at least three seconds.

-- Engage the "P" position.

-- Do not turn off the engine.

-- Then check the transmission fluid level and add if necessary. Refer to Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
