Front Interior Lamp/Reading Lamp, Removing And Installing: Removing

• The marking shows the position of the springs -arrows-.
• The retainers -1- are removed from the body by prying them out.

-- Unclip the cover -1- using the clip release lever from the Scraper Set:VAS 6845  -arrows A, B and C- by carefully inserting the clip release lever between the windshield and the cover.

-- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side.

-- Disengage the front of the cover -1- and remove it toward the rear.

-- Remove the sun visor center support. Refer to SUN VISOR CENTER SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Insert a plastic paint scraper -5- on both the left and right sides between the roof module -3- and the headliner -1- near the side retainer and position it behind the retainer -4- by turning.

• The clip must be pushed in the direction of the roof module.

-- From the front, guide the scraper -2- from the Scraper Set:VAS 6845  in between the headliner and body near the clamps.

-- Use the scraper to forcefully push the front roof module out of the roof opening -arrow- ; the front retainer is pulled out of the body while doing so.

-- Disconnect the connector and free up the wiring harness.
