Brake Caliper Piston, Removing And Installing, Dual-Piston Brake: Installing

Install the entire repair kit.
Only use mineral spirits to clean the brakes.
When a brake caliper piston or a piston cylinder are damaged, the brake caliper must be replaced.

-- Insert the seal into the brake caliper.

-- Place the protective cap -2- with outer sealing lip on the brake caliper piston -1-.

-- Insert the inner sealing lip -2- in the cylinder groove using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409 -item 4- at the same time hold the piston -3- in front of the brake caliper -1-.

-- Press the brake caliper piston -3- with the Piston Resetting Tool:T10145 -item 2- in the brake calipers -1-, at the same time do not tilt.

Outer sealing lip of protective cap will then engage in the brake caliper piston groove.

Pre-bleeding

-- Tension the brake calipers -1- using the bleed screw -arrow A- upward in a vise with protective covers over the jaws.

-- Place the container for catching brake fluid underneath.

-- Open the bleed screw and fill with brake fluid, until it leaks out of the connection -arrow B- without bubbles using the collector bottle -2-.

-- Close the bleeder screw.
