Right LED Headlamp Power Output Module 1 -A27- / Left LED Headlamp Power Output Module 1 -A31-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Remove the headlamp. Refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

There is a risk of damaging the wires when cutting the headlamp housing.

- Cut the opening in the headlamp housing as flat as possible.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury from the knife and plastic particles in the air.

Eye irritation or injury could occur.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Cut out the blind cover -2- from the headlamp housing along the line marked red using a sharp cutter. Do not damage the surrounding ridge -1-, it is used as a contact surface for the housing cover seal.

-- Remove any shavings and grit on the blind cover from the headlamp housing.

The surrounding ridge must be clean and without any burr.
No parts of the blind cover must be left over at the opening in the headlamp housing, these could hinder attaching the housing cover later on.

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 5-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows- and lift the power output module -1- out of the guides.

-- Disconnect the connector -4- by pressing the release button -3-.
