Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Notes

Removing

-- Move the door window into the "closed" position.

-- Remove the door handle. Refer to DOOR HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the door inner cover and let it hang with the wiring harness connected. Refer to DOOR INNER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- From the inside of the door push the mounting bracket toward the rear, until the frames -2 and 3- are free.

-- Remove the mounting bracket toward the inside.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the operating cable by deforming it.

- Never sharply bend or kink the operating cable.

-- Remove the mounting bracket toward the inside and remove it from the door at the same time pay attention to the operating cable.

-- Free up the operating cable -3- from the bracket -4-.

-- Bring the release lever into the "open" position and hold.

-- Remove the housing -2- with the operating cable from the mounting bracket using the Hook Tool:T40207 -arrow- ; while doing so, the retaining tabs -1- disengage.

-- Bring the operating lever into the "closed" position.

-- Disengage the operating cable -2- on the operating lever -1- in the -direction of the arrow A-.
