Closing Assist Release Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel and rear lid latch trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, open the cover -1- for fastening the release cable -arrow-.

-- Turn the operating cable 90° in the -direction of arrow A- at the lever -3- and remove it from the cable bracket for the rear lid latches -2-.

-- Using a screwdriver -1-, secure the operating lever -5- on the opposite side -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the release cable nipple -4- from the release lever -arrow C- and free up the release cable.

-- Disengage the cable bracket -4- on the Rear Lid Closing Assist Motor - V382- to do so release the catches -arrows-.

-- Disengage the release cable nipple -2- from the operating cable -1-.

-- Remove the release cable -3-.
