Bumper Carrier, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the side and lower air ducts for the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR AIR DUCT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, remove the lower radiator shutter. Refer to RADIATOR SHUTTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- and free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- For reinstallation, mark the installation position of the lock carrier on both sides of the lock carrier -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -1, 2, and 3-.

-- Push the bumper carrier -1- upward -arrow A-.

-- Remove the lock carrier -3- slightly forward, tip the upper lock carrier -1- forward -arrow B- and remove it from the lock carrier.

• At the same time the bumper carrier is disengaged from the guide -2-.

-- Remove the bumper carrier.

TIP:

After removing the bumper carrier secure the left and right lock carrier with a bolt.

-- If the bumper carrier is to be replaced, also remove the following components:

• Horn bracket. Refer to OVERVIEW - HORN .
