Fender Brace, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front wheel housing liner. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bumper cover mount. Refer to BUMPER COVER MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

A3 with TDI-engine:

-- Loosen the fuel filter and move it to the side. Refer to the appropriate Service Information. .

A3/S3 left side of the vehicle:

-- Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

RS3 left side of the vehicle:

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the wiring harness on the bracket -1- for the air filter housing.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the bracket for the air filter housing.

Continuation for Both Sides:

-- Remove the E-box and with the Fuse Panel B - SB- installed move it to the side. Refer to E-BOX, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Right Side of Vehicle:

-- Open the clip -3- and free up the refrigerant line -6-.

-- Press the refrigerant line -1- out of the retainer.

Continuation for Both Sides:

-- Remove the bolts -3- to do so lift the wiring channel -2- slightly.

-- Free up the wiring harness -6-.

-- Remove the bolts -4 and 5-.

-- Remove the fender brace -1-.
