Overview - Steering Gear: Notes

If the components of the front axle (axle components and/or wheel rim) are replaced if damaged, the tightening specifications on the following threaded connections must be checked, when these threaded connections are not replaced during the repair procedure.
- Testing torque 80 Nm for nut -item 4- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR => List Item:Nut and -item 15- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR => List Item:Nut on the tie rod end -item 1- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR, TIE RODS => List Item:Right Tie Rod End and -item 8- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR, TIE RODS => List Item:Left Tie Rod End.
- Testing torque 55 Nm for tie rod lock nut -item 2- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR, TIE RODS => List Item:Nut and -item 9- OVERVIEW - STEERING GEAR, TIE RODS => List Item:Nut.
Until the testing torque is reached in the tightening direction turning of the connection is not permitted.
