Muffler, Removing And Installing, AUDI A3 From My 2021/Q2 From My 2016/AUDI Q3 From My 2019/TT From My 2015: Removing

-- Remove the rear tunnel brace. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY BRACING .

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to flying soot particles.

Irritation and injury to skin and eyes possible.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Loosen the clamping sleeve -arrow- and push it toward the rear.

-- Tie up the catalytic converter.

-- Disengage the mounting -2- from the exhaust system rear section.

CAUTION:

Risk of accident due to the heavy weight of the muffler.

- A second technician is required for the following work steps.

-- Remove the bolts -3- left and right as well as bolt -4- and remove the muffler -1-.

-- Disengage the mounting -3- from the exhaust system rear section.
