Seat Pan Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Backrest Panel Tool:3370
Removing
-- Mount the front seat to the seat repair bracket. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with front child seat anchor
-- Remove the front child seat anchor. Refer to FRONT CHILD SEAT ANCHOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Vehicles with fire extinguisher mount
-- Remove the fire extinguisher mount. Refer to FIRE EXTINGUISHER BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
North American Market-Specific Version: with seat occupant detection system
-- Pay attention to the information on the seat occupant detection system. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SEAT OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM .
Continuation for all vehicles
Seats without seat depth adjuster
-- Detach the molding -1-, -2- and -3- from the cover in the front and side areas using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370 .
Seats with seat depth adjuster
-- Move seat depth adjuster forward.
-- If equipped, release, disconnect and free up the connector -2-.
-- Remove the nuts -1-.
-- Unclip the seat depth adjuster at the tabs -arrows- and remove it upward from the seat pan.
-- Pivot the seat depth adjuster upward and disengage it at the tabs -3- from the seat pan.
-- Disengage the molding -1- and -2- on the cover at the side using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370 .
Continuation for all seats
-- Detach the hooks -arrows-.
-- Disengage the cover molding -1- using the Backrest Panel Tool:3370 .
-- Equipped on some models: free up the seat heating wiring harness from the seat pan. For this, disconnect the modular wiring routing. Refer to MODULAR WIRING ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Detach the cushion with cover from the seat pan and remove including the seat depth adjuster. If equipped, guide out the seat heating wiring harness.
Tightening Specifications
Install in reverse order of removal.
