Parking Lock Solenoid -N486- /Drive Position Sensor -G676-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

-- Remove the Mechatronic. Refer to MECHATRONIC, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with 4-Cylinder TFSI Engine:

-- If equipped, remove the particulate filter. Refer tothe appropriate service information .

-- Remove the coolant pipes for the transmission. Refer to the appropriate service information .

Vehicles with 4-Cylinder Engine or 6-Cylinder TDI engine:

-- Remove the coolant pipes for the transmission. Refer to the appropriate service information .

Vehicles with a 6-Cylinder TFSI Engine:

-- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the oil pipe -1-.

-- Press the tensioning pin -1- out using the : T40437  -A- and remove the parking lock lever.

• Depending on the transmission, the parking lock lever may be installed in various positions. See the illustrations above and below.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Disconnect the connector -3-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the parking lock cover -1-.

-- Remove the bolts in direction of -arrows-.

-- At the same time using a pin punch shaft turn the parking lock approximately 3° against the spring force -arrow-.

-- Remove the Parking Lock Solenoid -N486-.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and the Drive Position Sensor -G676-.
