Parking Lock Emergency Release Cable, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the wiring harness -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and lower the emergency release mount -1-.

4-Cylinder Vehicles TFSI Engine:

-- Remove the front muffler. Refer to the appropriate service information .

Vehicles with a 6-Cylinder Diesel Engine TFSI Engine:

-- Remove the left front muffler. Refer to the appropriate service information .

Continuation for All:

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- If necessary, remove the bolts -arrows- and nut -2-, and remove the crossbrace end panel -1-.

-- Disconnect and lower the tunnel heat shield. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- If installed, remove the bolts -arrows- and push the heat shield -1- to the side.
