Battery Interrupt Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Switch off the ignition and place the ignition key outside of the vehicle and wait 10 seconds before working on the airbag system.
-- Open the right luggage compartment side trim panel cover.
-- Open the securing strap.
-- Release the catch and open the lid -4- -arrow-.
-- Remove the nuts -3- and -5-.
CAUTION:
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
Risk of injury.
- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.
-- Remove the Battery Interrupt Igniter -N253-.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the igniter -2-.
