Engine, Securing To Engine And Transmission Holder

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Engine and Gearbox Bracket VAS6095A :VAS6095A

• Engine/Transmission Holder - Universal Mounting :VAS6095/1  and V6 TFSI Engine Bracket :VAS6095/1-15

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the left engine support -1-.

If the Chain Drive on a 3.0L Engine Must Also be Worked on:

-- Remove the vacuum hose -2- at the same time to not damage it.

-- Free up the wiring harness -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -4- and bolt -5-.

-- Remove the vacuum reservoir -1-.

-- Remove the plug -1- for "TDC" hole and remove the bracket -2-.

-- Remove the ground cable nut -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the right engine support -1-.

-- Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 2.9L/3.0L TFSI ENGINE .

-- Secure the engine to the Engine And Transmission Holder :VAS6095  using the V6 TFSI Engine Bracket :VAS6095/1-15  and Engine/Transmission Holder - V6 TDI Bracket :VAS6095/1-11  and tighten to 40 Nm.
