A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing
- For all the following work, immediately close the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS6122 .
- The A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor -G395- and the A/C Pressure/Temperature Sensor 2 -G826- are identical in construction. Refer to the Parts Information. They will be adapted first using the Basic Setting function to their function and their component location according to their layout in the wiring (sensor addressing). Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- If the connectors to the sensors were interchanged, these sensors will be incorrectly programmed (addressed) in the basic setting, and the allocation of the sensor and thus the use of their measured values in the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- will be incorrect. If it is suspected that the connectors are interchanged, check the wire connections to these sensors. Refer to Wiring Diagram.
- If the sensor is removed from the wires and installed in another wire, this sensor will maintain its old allocation (addressing) until the next basic setting.
Working on a high-voltage system when activated or with the ignition turned on
-- Switch off (deactivate) the "parking air conditioner". Refer to Owner's Manual.
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Initiate the basic setting of the A/C system using the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- and open the electric valves using the routine Refrigerant Circuit, Extract, Evacuate and Fill in the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Switch the ignition off.
-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit or Working with A/C Service Station (1 Of 2) / Working with A/C Service Station (2 Of 2) .
-- Since there is a risk of interchanging with other connectors or sensors, label the connector -A- and sensor -B-.
-- Disconnect the connector -A-.
-- Check the refrigerant line and connection -D- for contamination and clean if necessary.
Danger of frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Evacuate or drain refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting or draining the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, extract or drain the refrigerant again. Pressure develops in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Loosen and remove the sensor -B-.
-- Seal the open connection -D- with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS6122 .
